The Cipherise platform is comprised of five main components:
- Cipherise Mobile Application
- Cipherise Server
- Cipherise Connector
- Cipherise Dashboard
These components can be implemented on cloud infrastructure, on customer owned and managed hardware, or across a mix in a multi-modal deployment model.
A Cipherise Connector provides the integration point between the Cipherise Server and the system, application or service being authenticated to. It provides a secure pathway for all communications across an authentication path and offers a way to access the API of the Cipherise Server.
A range of pre-built Cipherise Connectors are available to support common communication protocols (e.g. SAML, RADIUS, ADFS) and these have been tested and validated against a range of Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) platforms.
Customers are also able to create their own Cipherise Connectors using the available Software Development Kits. Cipherise currently supports SDKs for:
Forticode is continuously working to expand the connector library. Where a connector isn’t yet available, in-house or custom applications can be supported by building a lightweight integration using a Cipherise Connector Software leveraging the supported SDK’s.
The Cipherise Connector architecture also supports the creation of stand-alone Service Providers that need access to the Cipherise API and authentication engine.
Cipherise Connectors are currently available for a variety of infrastructures, applications and network protocols including:
- Amazon AWS
- Cisco SSL VPN
- Citrix VPN
- Office 365
- Windows logon
- Facebook Work
